Lux Collaborative is a worker-owned lighting design studio collaborating with local and international partners to design for and illuminate a better world we all share.

Who We Are

Our mission is to reveal and strengthen the relationships between people, place, and the living world through lighting design. We serve clients and communities through a practice grounded in care, curiosity, creativity, and cooperation, while demonstrating how collaborative design and democratic ownership can contribute to a more equitable profession.

Through our cooperative model, we put into practice the belief that the organization of a design practice can create tangible value beyond the studio, strengthening the relationships through which we shape the world with light.

As a worker-owned cooperative, Lux Collaborative is led by a representative board of directors and governed through the participation of its worker-owners. Together, we seek to make the way we work not only an expression of our values, but also a reflection of the relational nature of light itself.
